What we do as Heritage Consultants:

Our award-winning Heritage Consultancy Team provides expert advice to clients to help them develop their historic buildings and places.

Our heritage consultants advise on the sustainable development of historic buildings and sites to enable clients to get the most out of their property. They ensure that the elements that contribute most to a heritage asset's significance are preserved and enhanced.

Our priority is to work closely with our clients and ensure the future of their sites in line with their vision. Whether that is gaining consent through the planning system or developing a long-term strategic management plan, all our advice is based on rigorous research and understanding.

Heritage consultancy services we offer:

We produce informative and decisive documents that help clients manage change and gain permission for proposed development at their historic sites. Our reports are recognised as leaders in the field, and we work with private, public, community and lottery-funded clients to bring their visions to fruition.

Heritage Statements: These are documents required by local planning authorities when consent is sought which will affect a listed building or other heritage asset. These describe a heritage asset, its significance and how the proposed works impact that.

Conservation Plans: These are strategic documents commissioned to guide change and help manage a heritage asset. These set out the history, significance and vulnerabilities of a heritage asset. They then provide an accessible and practical set of policies to inform ongoing management.

Heritage Advice and Research: Sometimes a project needs some expert research carried out to give advice on listed buildings and other heritage assets. We also provide advice on heritage planning policy and guidance, national and local, to ensure your project is in line with the most recent legislation.

Not sure what you need?

It can often be confusing to know what type of advice or report is needed for your project. We are always happy to provide advice to help find the best solution for you. We will work alongside you to figure out how to get the most out of your project and ensure a sustainable future for your heritage asset.

We work with a wide range of clients, from private individuals to national heritage bodies, and as part of a wider architectural and archaeological practice we use the skills and experience from across the office to ensure our reports are tailored to you and your project.
