Stuart Allan

Stuart Allan Stuart was trained at Duncan of Jordanstone School of Architecture and Edinburgh College of Art. He became a registered architect in 2001.

Since joining Simpson & Brown in 1998, Stuart has been involved in projects including the repair and restoration of six Georgian houses to form the new Headquarters of the National Trust for Scotland, Edinburgh; the restoration and alterations of farm buildings to form staff accommodation for a Private Estate in the Borders; the restoration and alterations of Victorian shooting lodge for a Private Estate in the Borders; alterations to 219 High Street, Edinburgh to form six apartments; the repair and restoration of stonework and roofs at Royal Mile Mansions Edinburgh; the repair and alterations to a Georgian townhouse in Moray Place, Edinburgh; external alterations and new platform lift at Bute House, Edinburgh for The Scottish Executive and repair and restoration of the North Bridge Arcade in Edinburgh.

Stuart has RIAS Accreditation in Conservation Architecture.
