Adrian Roberts
Adrian trained at Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen. He worked in Glasgow for two years before joining Simpson & Brown in 1999. He became a registered Architect in 2002 and is a member of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland, The Royal Institute of British Architects and the Architects Registration Board.
Since joining Simpson & Brown he has worked on many listed buildings by renowned architects including William Burn, William H. Playfair, Robert Rowand Anderson, Frank Matcham, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Sir Basil Spence.
His projects include alterations to private houses in Perthshire, Stirlingshire and Edinburgh; the conservation and restoration of Queen's Cross Church in Glasgow for the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society; the conservation of the Melville Monument in St. Andrew's Square, Edinburgh; the installation of over 70 new steel windows to a Grade 'A' Listed house; stone and window repairs and railing reinstatement at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh; external stone repairs to the Mansfield Traquair Centre, Edinburgh; conservation and feasibility reports for Walmer Crescent and the Willow Tearooms in Glasgow and the Tyne Theatre in Newcastle; roof, stone and stained glass repairs to Stranraer Town Kirk; a multi phase restoration and repair project at the King's Theatre in Glasgow. He also worked on the new headquarters for the Scottish Ornithologists' Club in Aberlady, an exemplar for the use of Scottish timber and a new entrance pavilion at Paisley Abbey.
Adrian has RIAS Accreditation in Conservation Architecture.
