Eilean Iarmain, Isle of Skye
Simpson & Brown has recently obtained planning permission for a new house for Sir Iain and Lady Noble at Eilean Iarmain in Skye. The house is traditional in style to take account of its site and the history of the buildings on it. Originally there were a pair of laird’s houses side by side, built about 1800 by two brothers, with flanking wings extending to the north east and the north west. These buildings were largely altered during the 20th century but formed the starting point for the new design.
