Blairtummock House, Easterhouse

Blairtummock House

As part of the regeneration work being carried out by the Greater Easterhouse Redevelopment Agency, the restoration and conversion of Blairtummock House will soon be complete. Three of the ground floor rooms have been restored and are available for hire for social events, while the rest of the building will be let as office space.

Research revealed that although Blairtummock looked at first like a simple late Victorian house, its history dates to the 16th century. There had been several interesting owners, and a number of extensions and alterations over the years. The earliest surviving part of the house overlooks the walled garden, and both are over 250 years old.
