Historic Scotland has commissioned this as part of an initiative to explore the potential of tower houses for restoration.
This is a challenging and important study, and will draw on the experience of Historic Scotland and ourselves, together with the work of other architects and the castle owners.
The most enjoyable part of the work will be visiting examples of conserved tower houses which will be used as case studies within the overall document .
