Addyman Archaeology (formerly Addyman Associates) was established by Tom Addyman. The company has worked with many private clients, public bodies, preservation trusts and architectural practices in the United Kingdom and beyond, but has often worked in close association with Simpson & Brown.
The conservation of historic buildings is at the heart of Simpson & Brown’s work. The practice has employed historians for several years and in recent times it has become both possible and necessary to be more rigorous in the processes of research and analysis which necessarily precede conservation work. The time was judged to be right to bring Addyman Archaeology and Simpson & Brown together to offer architecture, building analysis and archaeology and conservation consultancy as a fully integrated service. Addyman Archaeology hopes to maintain good working relationships with other architectural practices and will continue to offer historical, archaeological and conservation consultancy support.
